Purchasing Frames

The wall maps arrive in a hard cardboard envelope unframed, but we’ve photographed the set of nine maps with frames purchased from Amazon (we do not receive any compensation for recommending these products). You can use any frames of your choice, but we recommend these two options if you are looking for an inexpensive set of frames under $42.00. The set of brown frames by Yaetm (which is our favorite!) is available in a nine-pack on Amazon for under $42.00. The frames are engineered wood, and they use acrylic plexiglass instead of glass, but they look great, and the process to place the maps in the frames is very easy (don’t forgot to peel the film off the plexiglass on both sides). If you are looking for a lighter grey wash frame, we’ve found this set of nine frames by Eletecpro to be a good option for under $33.00. They are again engineered wood and they use acrylic plexiglass instead of glass. We’ve photographed the maps in these frames so that you can see what the lighter frames look like with the maps. You can view the lighter grey frames here. There are of course many other options, and you may decide to buy wood frames. The main thing to make sure is that the insert for the frames is not less than 12x12. Even a 1/8 or 1/16 of an inch will require you to trim the maps (not something we’d recommend), so carefully check the specifications before purchasing your frames. The two frame sets we’ve recommended do not require any trimming of the maps, they fit in the frames perfectly!
