Why the acronym CASKET?
The word CASKET reminds us that death originated with Adam, who disobeyed
God; as a result death came not only to Adam, but to all humanity (Gen.
2—3; Rom. 5). The story of God’s people in the Old Testament shows that
they also break God’s commands—for they are like Adam. But the New Testament
acronym is EMPTY, reminding us that life beyond death is found in the person
of Jesus, who conquers sin and death. The title for the entire Bible is
“Casket Empty,” therefore, which underscores that life comes from his death
and resurrection.
